So I have wanted to try likeness sculpture for a while.  Some of the stuff that Sideshow puts out is amazing.  The sculptors there are amazing.  I decided I want to turn out work like they do.  I have started my journey down that path this year.  I will continue to work on my skills to get closer and closer to the person i am sculpting.  I want to bring that realism into my work. As I draw near the end of my military career i want to be able to transition to sculpting full time and maybe if i get good enough get a call from Sideshow to do some work for them.  that is the goal.  so i will continue to develop until I get that call. just one tim

It means so much to know that one's work inspires someone. I am really happy to hear that you are attempting likeness sculpture, and that you are passionate about it. 1:4 scale is a great size! The best advice I have for likeness sculpture is to gather LOTS of reference of your subject. I measure by eye...I've never liked to measure anything specifically because it feels like that takes the fun away from it.. It's not a bad idea to do it, though,
