My Bio
I am a member of the United States Army for 25 years. I have always enjoyed drawing and painting. I have had the desire to take up sculpting. I have attempted some pieces over the years but I have decided it is something i want to do after i retire.

So I have wanted to try likeness sculpture for a while.  Some of the stuff that Sideshow puts out is amazing.  The sculptors there are amazing.  I decided I want to turn out work like they do.  I have started my journey down that path this year.  I will continue to work on my skills to get closer and closer to the person i am sculpting.  I want to bring that realism into my work. As I draw near the end of my military career i want to be able to transition to sculpting full time and maybe if i get good enough get a call from Sideshow to do some work for them.  that is the goal.  so i will continue to develop until I get that call. just one tim

I got some great advice from one of the best sculptors in the industry that I want to break into eventually. Trevor Grove. Hey John! Greetings! Thank you very much for your kind words on my work. It means so much to know that one's work inspires someone. I am really happy to hear that you are attempting likeness sculpture, and that you are passionate about it. 1:4 scale is a great size! The best advice I have for likeness sculpture is to gather LOTS of reference of your subject. I measure by eye...I've never liked to measure anything specifically because it feels like that takes the fun away from it.. It's not a bad idea to do it, though,
